I *heart* ItalyHairfashion!

The haircolor company I work for is like one big happy family.
And I love them.
This is the first Italy Concept Salon, which is located
in Pennsylvania.
I had a class here in Feb and it is so beautiful and amazing.
Just being in this room with a couple of World Champion Hairdressers
changed my life. The friends I made here and the knowledge I brought
back are two things I think about each and every day!
I love Italy Hairfashion!
Just thought I would share!

All of yall get off the wall. Have a ball and get involved...

Jennifer did this little survey on her blog.
So I copied it and did it. Because I love her.
Won't you play along?
Photos of my fab trip to New Orleans coming up soon.

drinking: Metro Water. Lemon Mint. Yum.

listening to: Ella. As always talking about how bad Rigan is aggrivating us.

reading: Nothing. I know. I am boring right?

relieved about: The fact that I am finally blogging.

missing: Jen!

not digging:Ella cramming boby pins into my scalp while I am typing.

totally.thankful for: Wow! Where do I start? I will just say everyone and everything about my life right now. period.

planning: Is one thing that makes me anxious.

reliving: My childhood and creative imagination, through E!

daydreaming about: Going to the beach in a couple of weeks.

putting off: Calling Chris. You see, he is in a meeting negotiating some business with his new job and I want to talk to him sooo bad. But he would be so aggrivated if I called and it were not a life or death situation!

finally accomplished: Being financially secure.

scrappin' with: Nothing. Because I can't scrap until I get a little organization in my life.

So, there. Tag you're it!
Comment if you repost this so I can read about you!

11

That's the number of people that got a modified *or sometimes exact* version of KC's haircut at my salon this week. I am crazy about that cut.
Who's watching Shear Genius? Is it just me or do these people NOT know how to cut hair? I mean for real ... then there was Parker, who made his final cut last night. I mean, WTF? A "Genius" that does not know a thing about haircolor? Come on. Where do they find these people?! And, I can just say that give me one of the Real Houswives of OC and 2 hours and someone is getting a complete makeover. 'Specially if my ass is on the line. Just sayin.
Well, we will spend the 4th at the river... which is not my fave place to be. So hopefully Maureen will 1.Take some fabulous photos to make it worth it. and 2.hit the pool with me shortly after lunch. I mean the thought of green water and snakes does not appeal to me in any form or fashion, so for me the pool is the best option... too bad no one else agrees. So, the 4th is the one time I have to cave. Plus that is where the grillin' takes place. So, as long as there is the smell of smoked meats, I will oblidge.
Happy Holidays yall!

Things I think about..

I think. All the time. I have these deep thoughts that I wish I could ask someone "in the know." Because I think about things like this:
If our country is in such a crisis and the dang economy is so bad... and we should be stocking up on food and hoarding cash....
Will the sale of fireworks be down this year on the 4th? doubt it. Thus I say, chill people. It's not the end of the world. I mean, seriously... if we were all about to starve to death, would people really be so worried about buying fireworks? Would we drive the cars that we can't afford with the gas in them that we can't afford to the nearest fireworks stand *or two*?
Just curious...

And the sky was made of amethyst. And All the stars are just like little fish.

Mondays are good days.

Got to sleep late. The kid was at my mom "Mustang Sally" and Pappy's house.

Went to the bank to acutally put money in... which is nice.

Spent the afternoon in the pool with my sister, brother, neice, nephew and Mustang.

About to kick out some lemon pepper salmon and snow peas, carrots and broccoli. delish.

This Is Me is getting back started up! Check it out!

Kristy totally blogged me. She rocks so well.

AmyTan totally has me addicted to non-needle crocheting... while I am watching TV. Also check out her fabulous threads here.

Hope you had a great Monday and a short work week. xo

It's not a put down. I put my foot down..

In the glass above, there is kool aid. And I am drinking it.
Mixed with Splenda, of course. This is because I am on a new quest
to have the bangin'ist body in all the land by next year. Sarting one
bad carb at a time. I have had no sugar/bad carbs since last Sunday.
And, so far I am ok. I am doing the Abs diet. Chris recommends it
to all his people. So I am checking it out.
So, yeah. My husband is officially a certified Personal Trainer. We got
all his stuff turned in last night. He is pumped. It means so much to
see him happy and finally doing what he is so passionate about- for a
job! It does not get any better than that. And he is working for Snap
Fitness
... which is such a great company. And loving it.
So We are starting up the This is Me Journal again on Monday. Someone very cool will be visiting for a guest
challenger. That has me totally whacked out with happiness.. So if you journal
or scrapbook or both, join us for some fun.
I have an awesome show coming up this weekend... working with the fabulous super
fantastic Fabian. Which is probably like the biggest honor
ever. Working with this guy is like the high of all highs for me.
He has been a mentor to me since day 1.. and now, to think that I will
be on stage coloring hair along side him is just such an honor.
So, yeah.. I will let everyone know how that goes!
Well, I am off to rest! Have a good night.
xo

Inspiring Minds...

was so sweet in Nashville. However, I am very
selective of what I read, because honestly,
I am not a "reader"*thanks KC for video blogging it makes
life easier for me*. I mean, I can read. But I am not
into reading like most people. I am more into photos and
videos, not reading. That being said, so when I came home
from Nashville, I decided I would just read a little about
the people I met in Nashville. Mostly because I am nosey. And when
I know someone, I want to really know them. Like about their kids,
spouse, etc. I find peoples lives so interesting. So anyway, *I know I ramble
too much.* Back to KimberlyB- when I came home and started reading
about her I could not stop! This is not common for me.
She is absolutely amazing. What an inspiration as a mother, wife,
artist and Christian! So, the above layout was one of her challenges
I just had to do. I urge you to take the time to read her blogs,
you will be touched and inspired! I am so happy to have found her
and totally treasure her friendship! So, Thanks Kimmie and I hope we
can be friends for life!
xo.

Inside Outside Come Around! Who's That? Brown!

Ok. So, I have totally sucked at the whole blogging thing. So, this time I am vowing to try to blog every day. I want to print these and make a cute journal with them .... so that is my new goal.
So, this past weekend in Nashville at SIStv weekend totally was phenomenal. I mean, seriously. I was going to video blog this, but after 14 takes and Ella and Rigan interrupting every single time, I gave up. But there are lots of things I have to say, so pop yourself some popcorn sit back and relax. This might get good. <3
First off a bit about me that has happened since the weekend.
First off, my hair is back to its original dark brown. While the photos and slideshow
were great, I did not realize that I looked like the character "Powder" from the
movie "Powder." That was bad. Real bad. So, this morning I got to work a hour
early to color my hair. It is mucho better. Also, during the pin the whatever on the
layout. I totally did not realize my pants were unzipped until after I sat down. So,
I hope everyone enjoyed the extra little peep show they got at my expense! LOL
Mad propz to JJ and KA for a totally kickass weekend. OMG it was great.
-JenniferP- I love you. For real girl. You are even better in real life. I am just sorry that we did not have more days together. And, I am totally looking forward to spending time with you in the fall when I come to the big D. And, I hope that our girls can grow up being pen pals and stuff. You are the best and I am sooo happy that I got to sit by you, room with you and everything.
Sasha- you are the funniest person in the world. I am so glad I am on team Sasha. You are hillarious and it made my day to be by you! I can not believe I found someone that shares my absolute love for spicy mustard. I also want you to know that I am working on my back stroke and hope to have that down before too long.
Bridget and Patricia- thanks for riding with me and coming to my salon. You two are so sweet and it was so fun comparing opinions and stories on the ride home! Also thanks for the goody bags. I feel like a loser b/c I did not think of this!
Elly- *throwing up a metal sign* you totally rock. Thanks for showing up to get your hair did. And, thanks so much for my Crow-Toe sign. I am hanging it in my crop room. I love love love it. You are too cute!
Sandra- also Thanks for showing up for salon hour. It was fun and I must say your hair was fab. You are one of the sweetest people with a good heart that I met all weekend. And, I love ya girl!
Trynity- Holy crap. I am jealous of your past love history. I think you know what I mean and you are totally my new hero!
Chelle- you have the voice of an angel. I loved it!
Shell Gautreaux- My sister from another mother and father. I love you. You are so tiny and so cute! Thanks for the song you wrote for me. Possibly one of the nicest things anyone ever had done. Hope we can crap together soon!
Amber U- You are so nice. Thanks for being all pappazo on us!
Kimmie- I hope you got my PM on SIStv. I think your blog is so inspiring and I had no idea when I met you this weekend how much your blog would inspire me as a creator, mother and Christian. Thanks!
AW- Lover, I am so sorry that you did not answer your phone to come get your hair did! Girl you are great and I love you!
Nikki P- I will mail you all kinds of goodness. YOu are so cute!
Bre- wish you would have come on Fri night to my salon. So sorry that there was not more time. But your hair is totally perm-able.
AmyTan- you are so inspiring. Thanks for teaching us that needless crochet thing. That was very cool ... and I was proud of my skillz. You are too sweet and oh. so. fabulous.
Courtney DeLaura- I was so sad that you did not show up for the Waffle Ugly. I missed you and you are hilarious!
Sonja- you are the cutest preg woman in the history of preg. women. I loved you. And, next year when you are not preg we are crackin ass up. Totally.
TraciRenae- You are so cute. It was so nice to put a name with a face. Thanks for hanging out. And, I can't wait for you to come visit Reen so we can crop!
T1- You are fantastic! So glad your eyebrows were looking good. You are so fun. Thanks!
Jan- your hugs are as good IRL as I expected!! Thanks!
Mandi- You are a riot. I was totally feelin you on your song. I mean, when you are writing a song, sometimes a dog or two gets sacrificed. Loved doing the round robin with you! Your man is a hottie, btw.
TinaLynn- your skin rocks. You are so cute. I have bad skin. Therefore, I can totally appreciate some good skin. And you have it, girl. Loved chatting with ya at Waffle Ugly.
Heather and Angie- I totally challenge you two to a "bake off". I saw him today but could not get up the nerve to ask for a photo! But that is the funniest thing ever. period!
Martha- Totally got your avy mixed up. I think that is why we needed our avys on our name tags. You are so cute. And, thanks for keeping it real. : ) You rock.
I am so positive that I will think of more people tomorrow that I forgot to give a shout out to! So I will post them then.A couple more things:
*I want to see the bewbie/grits photo please!
*I was slightly pissed that I did not get to do my second acapella karoke song. The F! with the mike totally blew me off. But, its' all good. I will sing two next year. Just sucks for everyone there b/c I totally had something awesome planned for the finale. Fight for your right was totally just a warm up song!
*The above is a layout I did for Martha's F! hour! That was funnn.
Last but not least, hello KC! If you are reading this, I *heart* you!

Making me laugh.

Hooked. What a fun weekend getting my new salon ready to open!

My child

thinks her middle name is "the Weeze" instead of Louise. And, this is what I picture
every time she says it.
totally killed it last night. rad.
And, I can't get enough of this girl right now. We would totally
be BFF if we lived closer to each other. And, I am slowly
trying to convince her of that. I mean, seriously, how
does one rock so hard?
moving moving moving so the new salon can open in
one week. That is what we are doing this weekend. How about you?

Sometimes hard boiled sometimes runny it comes from a chicken not a bunny dummy.

Eggs are fun. We hid lots of them.It was fun. Glad it's over.
How cute is this photo? My uncle took it this week at Ella's baby's birthday party. It is my neice. I love her little fat fingers and she always must have them polished. This weeks color: "Sparkledy Pink!" Delish.

Saturday=Funday

We slept in, went to the park (the one with the pirate ship) and went to take the
sweet old man painting my new salon a sausage biscuit and some coffee.
Last night, I made this cute Hello Kitty book that I decided would be a great
colorinspiration album.
It's crawfish season. You could not even get into the driveways of the seafood
markets this morning. So, tonight it's a crawfish boil and egg hunt.
I am not into crawfish but I will go along for the company. The other two people
I live with love them.
Happy Easter!

Absolutely No Bad Attitudes.

That is what I decided the sign on my door would read, if I had a sign on my door.
Today, over on SIStv
myself and a few other girls decided to revisit one of our favorite
challeng blogs, the EfferDares. I think most people have scrapped the dares in
some form or another, at some point. But, this time, we are going
to do them card size. This was a wild day, filled with haircolor,
picking out cabinets, Arby's, eggs eggs and more eggs. Tomorrow, E is
staying with her Mustang and they have a big birthday party planned
for her imaginary "baby" who is turning 3. I had to go get cupcakes,
Mustang is going to supply the cousins and plates.
peace

So here's the deal, orange peel...

I am going to give this blogging thing one more try. This is the third time.
Here is what I have been up to lately.... Getting ready to open a new day spa (in the next two weeks!), loving my "other job", here are my This is Me and This is You art journal challenges and check out the boards on SIStv to see what my other current crazy antics might be. Also, **lovin** that my little sister is pregs and totally into homemade baking. She is rocking the cakes like no other. :)

ATC cards for KC. She is the reason I got into this whole crafty thing. And, I love it! Thanks for the inspiration, KC!

And these are some cards I did for a swap I hosted over on SIStv, the greatest place on earth.
And, how can I forget my greatest sources of inspration?? I love these two. :)
